Educational and Developmental Psychologists play a vital role in supporting the learning, wellbeing, and development of children, young people, families, and communities across Australia. At AEDPA, we are committed to advocating for a system where this work is recognised, understood, and empowered.
Our advocacy focuses on ensuring that Ed & Dev Psychologists are supported to practise safely, ethically, and to the full scope of their expertise -across education, health, disability, community, and private practice settings. We champion policies, standards, and structures that enable psychologists to deliver high-quality, evidence-based services that genuinely meet the needs of those we serve.
AEDPA works collaboratively with government, regulatory bodies, universities, peak organisations, and community stakeholders to amplify the voice of Educational and Developmental Psychologists. We advocate for equitable access to psychological services, stronger workforce pathways, clarity in professional roles, and recognition of the unique contribution our profession makes across the lifespan.
