The Educational and Developmental Psychology Research Alliance (EDPRA) is a national research network established by the Australian Educational and Developmental Psychology Association (AEDPA) to strengthen research, practice and advocacy in educational and developmental psychology. It brings together AEDPA members in universities, private practice and specialist clinics to co-design and deliver clinically relevant research that improves outcomes for children, young people and their families. EDPRA was originally founded in 2025 by Dr Hayley Anthony (Raise the Bar Psychology), Dr Jake Kraska (AEDPA) and Dr Elly Quinlan (University of Tasmania), and is currently supported by the EDPRA Steering Committee which is a formation of AEPDA members that represent private organisations, private clinics and university partners.
Private clinics and service providers can join EDPRA by becoming AEDPA members and partnering on specific research projects, for example by sharing de-identified outcome data, collaborating on intervention development or hosting evaluation studies. Expressions of interest are reviewed by the EDPRA Steering Committee, and successful applicants are supported through a structured onboarding process, including standard agreements for confidentiality, data sharing, authorship and intellectual property.
University partners can engage with EDPRA as academic leads on projects, supervising students, leading ethics applications and contributing methodological expertise to multi-site studies. Academic members work alongside clinics and other AEDPA members on both short term and long term research programmes that align with EDPRA’s priorities.
To discuss partnering with EDPRA as a clinic, private organisation or university, please contact the Steering Committee at research@aedpa.org
EDPRA is guided by a multidisciplinary Steering Committee that sets research priorities, reviews proposals and assists with the formation of research partnerships for short term projects and long term research programmes. The committee oversees ethics, data governance and alignment with AEDPA’s broader mission, and reports to the AEDPA directors.

AEDPA provides a small annual contribution to support the operation of EDPRA, including coordination, governance activities and seed funding that helps initiate collaborative research projects across the alliance.
